1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using CalmCourt (“App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

CalmCourt is an AI-powered mental coaching app designed for tennis players. The App provides:

  • Pre-match mental preparation conversations
  • Post-match reflection and debrief sessions
  • Goal tracking and progress monitoring
  • Match scheduling and reminders
  • Partner and opponent management

3. Important Disclaimers

Not Medical or Therapeutic Advice

CalmCourt is NOT a medical, psychological, or therapeutic service. Our AI coach is designed to provide general mental game support for tennis, similar to reading a sports psychology book or listening to motivational content.

Not a Substitute for Professional Help

The App is NOT a substitute for professional mental health treatment, licensed therapy, counseling, or medical advice. If you are experiencing mental health challenges, anxiety disorders, depression, or other psychological conditions, please consult a qualified healthcare professional. In a crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).

AI Limitations

Our AI coach may occasionally provide incorrect, incomplete, or inappropriate suggestions. Always use your own judgment and consult professionals for important decisions.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when creating your account
  • Keep your login credentials secure
  • Use the App only for lawful purposes
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer or modify the App
  • Not use the App to harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Not share content that is illegal, offensive, or violates others' rights

5. Account and Data

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time through the Settings menu.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App (including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software) are owned by CalmCourt and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CalmCourt shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses.

We are not responsible for any decisions you make based on the AI coach's suggestions, your tennis performance outcomes, or any physical or mental health consequences.

8. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Abusive or fraudulent behavior
  • Extended periods of inactivity
  • Any reason at our sole discretion with notice

9. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify you of significant changes through the App.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
